observation assignment at She-Sha

So I decided to do my observation assignment at She-Sha. It was pretty cool, just sitting in a corner smoking hookah and just watching how everyone interacted with eachother. The place is like a community in and of itself, and then branches out to be a part of bigger communities. its like a community with a bunch a little sub communities. You have the staff community, you have the staff and regular customer community, you have the community of each individual group, and then you have the lounge as a whole. It should be a really good topic for my communities research project. I love seeing all the different types of people in there and how each different type of group interacts while smoking. Some people are loud and happy while others are very chill and mellowed out. It's fun to think of where they've been and where there headed, what things have shaped them into the person that they are today. The only thing is that one must be careful not to pre-judge a person before they get to know them.

Intro to Chris's Blog

This is the first time I've ever written a blog, so people please bear with me. I never imagined I'd ever be a blogger, but you do alot of things in college you never thought you would do, like playing duck duck goose on the prarie till 1 a.m. with over 40 people! I would have never guessed I'd do that. For those who care to join, I believe the next organized game of DDG is on Wednesday night at 11 p.m. on the prarie field (field in front of Lee Hall).
